The Assumption of Mary, Our Lady is around the corner. Please remember that it is a day of obligation. The Masses are
(1) 14th August at 8pm (English) and
(2) 15th August at 7:00 am, 1:00 pm (both in English) and 8 pm (Mandarin).
Just after the Assumption, the count-down begins for our Family Day. This year, it is special. Our interacting space in the Cathedral has been drastically reduced by the on-going renovation. We have had to make the decision to host our Family Day in Majodi Centre. The family is one of four foci of the South Johore Vicariate for 2024. The future of faith especially in our children is dependent on building up and strengthening the family unity.
Thus, the Family Day coupons are on sale now. You can start purchasing them. In the meantime, the Mooncake Festival falls on 17th Sept. Many follow the tradition of giving mooncakes to family and friends. In this regard, The organising committee has made arrangements so that our Family Day coupons can be used in exchange for pre-ordered Kum Lun Tai mooncakes. Your support is much appreciated.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Heb 10:24-25)
This brings me to the other on-going drive that we have which is for parishioners to adopt a pew. We are grateful for the continued assistance in this initiative. Thank you very much. In the meantime please continue to pray that the renovation will finish according to schedule.

圣母升天节即将到来。请记住，教友有义务参与这个节日的弥撒。弥撒时间为：

圣母升天节后，我们的家庭日活动将开始倒数计时。今年的家庭日很特别。由于正在进行的教堂翻修工程，我们能够在主教座堂的互动空间急剧缩小。因此，我们在不得已的情况下决定在甲柔教区活动中心（Majodi）举办家庭日活动。“家庭”是南柔铎区2024年的四个牧灵重点之一。信仰的未来取决于家庭合一的建立和加强，尤其是我们孩子的信仰。
因此，家庭日固本现已开始发售，您也可以开始购买了。与此同时，9 月 17 日是中秋节，许多人都会按照传统向家人和朋友赠送月饼。为此，家庭日活动组委会已作出安排，让我们的家庭日固本可以用来换取预先订购的锦纶泰月饼。感谢您的支持。

这让我想到了我们正在开展的另一项活动，即教友认捐长凳活动。我们非常感激大家对这项活动的持续支持。非常感谢。与此同时，请继续为教堂翻修工程如期完工祈祷。
